New York based Jody Dole Studio created the first digital photography used in advertising and the first fine art exhibition of digitally printed still life images shown in the USA at Nikon House in Rockefeller Center in 1992. His new work has been profiled in American Photo, Graphis, Zoom, Communication Arts, Advertising Age and The New York Times. Awards include CA, Graphis, The Art Directors Club of NY, American Photography, PDN, The RX Club, APA, Nikon Legend of the Year and the Clios. He attended School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute in New York and holds an honorary masters degree in photographic science from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. Merging photography with state of the art digital technology, Dole's vision is noted for it's unique synthesis of art and commercial imagery. He is currently working with 19th century large format tintype photography that can be seen in the upcoming 2010 Graphis Photo Annual. Dole travels constantly to create new images and maintains a full time 5000 sq.ft. digital imaging facility 90 minutes from midtown Manhattan. The newly completed JodyDoleStock.com studio and offices feature state of the art digital gear, an 1860's wet plate darkroom, commercial kitchen and guest accommodations housed in an antique post & beam barn located in rural Connecticut near Long Island Sound.
